Our non-profit organisation began with a spontaneous donation campaign in Germany in 2013. Ever since, an active team has managed our organisation with great commitment, creative ideas and plenty of enthusiasm and passion.
We place great emphasis on creativity and individual initiative and appreciate all ideas and suggestions. It’s the only way we can grow and improve our organisation’s work!
Become part of our active non-profit organisation team
The work of our organisation involves many different tasks, which we tackle together as a team. We are always looking for new team members and volunteers who would like to support us. Whether planning events or looking after market stalls, we are grateful for any help!
There is currently no need for volunteers in Kenya, as we work exclusively through our local partner organisation YISOG. That is why we do not offer a volunteer service.
Ideas for schools
You can also get involved as a school, for example via a sponsorship. By sponsoring a girl or boy in Kenya, a school class can show true solidarity with children in another part of the world.
Several classes are already sponsoring children in Kenya – we are thrilled to see this level of enthusiastic involvement among young students!
We are also happy to give lectures at schools to raise awareness for our work and increase overall interest in development cooperation.
We have collected further exciting ideas for schools here:
- Sponsored runs
- Raffles at school fairs
- Bake sales
- Flea markets
- Solidarity marches
Activities for groups and individuals
There are no limits to your creativity if you want to start your own campaign. Here are some ideas and campaigns others have already realised:
- Fundraising concerts
- Donation raffles, e.g. at street festivals
- Donations instead of presents, e.g. for birthdays or Christmas
- Gifting sponsorships
- Flea markets
- Sponsored runs
- Christmas carols
- Donation boxes at cake buffets, e.g. at family parties
Corporate involvement
There are many ways to get involved as a company. In addition to donations and sponsorships, here are some creative fundraising ideas:
- Donations instead of presents, e.g. for customer gifts at Christmas
- Donations from events, e.g. anniversary celebrations, Christmas parties, trade fairs
- Remaining-cent donations, i.e. employees agree to donate the cent amounts of their monthly salaries
- Doubling donations, i.e. the company doubles the donations of its employees (e.g. remaining-cent donations)
- Donations by sale, i.e. a certain amount is donated per product sold. This is advertised to the customer and they are given the sense of ethical added value.
