Celebrating 10 years of Ambatana!
Ten years ago, 16 members signed Ambatana’s organisation statutes. Today, our organisation has 100 members and 39 sponsors. To celebrate this anniversary, we are hosting a benefit concert on 6 April 2024 at the Fachakademie in Starkheim, Germany.
“When we founded our organisation in Tüssling in 2013, we never would have imagined that ten years later, thanks to donations, a rescue centre would be built in Kenya and that disadvantaged children could be cared for there,” report Verena Donislreiter and Jonathan Scherr, chairpersons of Ambatana. “We are incredibly grateful for all the support we have received.”
Ambatana has received an impressive 543,000 euros through donations, memberships and sponsorships since the organisation was founded. These funds have been used to build the rescue centre – a refuge for vulnerable children – and to provide schooling and basic care for children.
In order to express our gratitude and celebrate these eventful ten years together, a benefit concert will be held in Starkheim on Saturday, 6 April. Admission is on a donation basis. We look forward to a great evening and a large turnout!
